Our Farmers

Kabeywa United Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative Society (KUCOFAS) is a combination of several farmer groups that deal in the production, bulking and marketing of quality coffee.

It started with 15 members in 2004 and has expanded to over 500 farmers (members) currently composed of 12 registered groups with great potential of more members joining. Our founder members are Mr. Wojambuka Solomon (Chairperson) and Mr. Gibogi James Wosukira, the Secretary among seven board members.

Actual coffee production started in 2007/2008 with a total production of 16 tonnes of coffee parchment and this has tremendously increased over the years….

Our Team

General Manager in charge of general Administration of the organisation as well as overseeing the flow of finances. Kaptui Phyllis Brenda has worked in the coffee sector and related fields for over ten years. Before joining KUCOFAS, she was an administrative manager in Kapchorwa Commercial Farmers Association (KACOFA) for three years, worked with Kapchorwa National Aids Service Organisation (KAPNASO) for two years. She then worked for two years with the Electoral Commission.

Kaptui Phyllis Brenda

Accountant in charge of Finances, recording receipts and expenditures of the organisation. Musunjeni Wilfred completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree specializing in Accounting from Uganda Christian University. Before joining KUCOFAS, Musunjeni Wilfred was an Enrolment Officer with the Uganda Electoral Commission after completing his degree in 2014.
